This project came to life in MEJO 471: Advanced Copywriting, where we had the exciting opportunity to work from a spec brief provided by an incredible copywriter at Brighthouse.

The Problem

Going to the movies isn't what it used to be. With streaming making entertainment more convenient than ever, the big-screen experience is becoming easier to skip. As shared experiences become less of a priority, AMC faces a bigger question: What makes going to the movies worth it today, and why will it still matter 100 years from now?

Our Insight

Going to the movies isn't what it used to be. With streaming making entertainment more convenient than ever, the big-screen experience is becoming easier to skip. As shared experiences become less of a priority, AMC faces a bigger question: What makes going to the movies worth it today, and why will it still matter 100 years from now?

After research on AMC’s history and current societal problems, we got to work on our manifesto:

In a world that's shrunk every story to the size of a screen in your hand and turned emotion into background noise, we exist to make it LOUD. With sound so clear your heart rate jumps.

This isn’t just a movie; this is a journey through the 7 seas with sounds so sharp you hear the piercing wind in your ears, a one-way ticket to Pandora with colors so bright you can’t imagine living without it. It’s a battle where the clanking of metal armour vibrates through the soles of your feet.

At AMC, we don’t just do feelings halfway. We believe that movies deserve your full attention, and your emotions deserve to run free.

That leads us to:

Make A BIG THING OF IT
